The Williams Family

This past weekend, I spent some time in downtown Annapolis with the Williams’ family for their family session!  Boy do I looove this family — they live across the street from us but are moving to another state soon and we are super bummed but very happy for them!  Please enjoy my favorites from their session!

Sarah and Nick : Anticipation

I met Sarah and Nick in Old Town earlier this week to shoot their anticipation session.  It was really important to Sarah to document this exciting time in their lives! I spent some time with them at a party a few days before the session and couldn’t help but notice that they were both completely glowing with excitement to meet their baby boy. Aren’t they the most adorable expectant couple you’ve ever seen?!

Stephanie and Avram : Anytime Session

Stephanie contacted me last fall wanting to schedule a cherry blossom session this spring. She knew that this was the time of year that I start to get super busy so she wanted to make sure she booked early so make sure I had time to fit her and Avram’s session in my schedule! The few weeks leading up to the shoot, I checked the Cherry Blossom Festival’s website, scoured the bloom watch website and even refreshed the bloom watch web cam on a daily basis… and saw nothing. Not one cherry blossom in the tidal basin. We wavered back and forth about whether or not we should reschedule but despite the lack of blooms and the threat of rain, we decided to stick with our original plan and I’m SO glad we did.

Little did I know, Stephanie and Avram set up this shoot to celebrate her recent weight loss (50 pounds)!  I’m so happy I was able to be a part of this “reveal” for Stephanie!

It was a blustery, cold day in DC so we started on the side of the Jefferson Memorial that had the least wind… then meandered our way through the tidal basin.  We found ONE blossoming tree in all of DC! Keeping with our original scheduled shoot really challenged me to find good shooting locations and interesting angles that hid the blossom-less trees.  We found a few spring colors and tried to emphasize them as much as possible throughout the shoot.  Here are a few of my favorites!

Columbia, MD Photographer – Amy and Jeff: Anytime Session

Amy and Jeff hadn’t had formal photos taken since their wedding 4 years ago and it was time for an update!  We met at Patapsco Valley State park (which is quickly becoming one of my favorite shooting locations, by the way), wandered around for a couple of hours and had a great time together!

… I saw my life flash before my eyes when these bikers almost ran me over! 🙂
